If you’ve ever been to a birthday party, you’ve been witness to candle magick. The song, the offering, the lighting and extinguishing of flames -it’s an ubiquitous ritual, but a familiar one.
I am personally a little obsessed with candle magick. Why? Because it’s accessible and EASY. You can use any kind of candle you’d like, and keep the ritual as simple as you wish.
Below, here’s a quick listing of candle colors you can use in your magick.
Red Candles - used for Root Chakra work, passion, strength, survival, love, relationships, courage, vitality and assertiveness.
Orange Candles - used for Sacral Chakra work, creativity, joy, energy and success.
Yellow Candles - used to represent the Sun and for Solar Plexus Chakra work, learning, breaking mental blocks, manifestation, confidence, clarity success, happiness and confidence.
Pink Candles - used for Heart Chakra work, love, relationships, friendships, partnerships, compassion, nurturing, harmony and self -love.
Green Candles - used for Hearth Chakra work, prosperity, money, abundance, luck, earth healing and success.
Blue Candles - used for Throat Chakra work, calming, health, peace, tranquility, opening blocked communication and wisdom.
Purple Candles - used for Third Eye Chakra work, psychic abilities, intuition, spiritual power, contact with guides, breaking old habits and tranquility.
Brown Candles - used for earth magick, plant magick, friendship and stability.
Black Candles - grounding, protection, safety, banishing, repelling negativity, releasing, reversing, defense, scrying or divination.
White Candles - can be used as all purpose candles, and substituted for any other color. Also used for Crown Chakra work, purification, cleansing, balance, healing, truth, aura balancing, and purity.
Gold Candles - often used to represent the masculine, God energy and the Sun. They are used in spells & rituals involving prosperity, abundance, good fortune and happiness.
Silver Candles - often used to represent the feminine, Goddess energy and the Moon. They are used in spells and rituals involving psychic development, dreamwork & meditation.
